I’ve fought this battle of addiction for 18 years. It cost me my children, my family, my home and the tragic loss of my husband to suicide. I felt I had nowhere to go and no one I could trust. Mike reached out to me, letting me know I am ‘someone’ by helping me to realize that everyone deserves a second chance. I am clean and sober now going on 3 years.
I’m very thankful today to be alive. I’m reunited with my children, meeting one for the very first time after 16 long years and I am now a proud grandmother.
I’m also very grateful for the help from Second Chance Ministry as well as for a wonderful kind-hearted soul; my friend Mike and his fellow members who bring life and light to many like myself.
